Our 2023 fundraising exceeded our initial goals and helped Oregon Coast Hosts expedite our 501c4 formation, hire legal representation, and initiate legal proceedings against Tillamook County in support of homeowners who would like to retain their right to share their homes on a short-term basis with guests along the Oregon Coast. 

 

Our fundraising in 2024 continues to be focused on our ongoing STR advocacy & litigation. We are proceeding on behalf of everyone, and truly need each & every owner to step up and donate. Oregon Coast Hosts is a grassroots effort and approximately 90% of our donations are from individual homeowners, and approximately 10% of our donations are from property management companies. We invite you to show your support for STRs and Oregon Coast Hosts by donating. Your contributions are instrumental in fueling our efforts and making a positive impact in our community. Together, we can make a difference. Our neighbors in Lincoln County are engaged a similar legal battle and we are both committed to fighting for our rights and will continue to pursue every avenue available to us.

Not sure how much to contribute?  We welcome any amount, high or low, as collectively every bit helps: 

• $500 per permit is equal to roughly one hour of legal consultation

• $1,000 per permit is equal to roughly two hours of legal consultation

• An amount equal to a week-long stay at your STR

• An amount commensurate with $100 per occupant in line with your maximum occupancy

• Businesses are welcome to donate with a value reflective of their support of STRs

 

Some may give more, and some may give less, but we all have the same goal which is to protect our property rights & ability to welcome visitors of the Oregon Coast. In addition to our legal team, we have a score of volunteers who have been consistently working behind the scenes to gather data, analyze regulations across the US, and engage our community in having their voices heard.
